Captain Ritson and retired Helmsdale ghillie Donald MacKay fished the Well pool and lost a salmon of around 25 pounds at the net. Soon afterwards another fish took gently and went into a sulk, first on their side of the river, then moving to the far side and refusing to move an inch.
