Our New Head Greenkeeper, Craig Beet has been with the club for the past 5 years and he was appointed to this position on 1st January 2007. His Deputy, Ian Cureton was also appointed on the same date and with a further 4 Assistant Greenkeepers, they manage and manicure the 18 hole course with the most up-to-date, new machinery.

Stratford Oaks Golf Club

Stratford Oaks Golf Club features an 18 hole, par71 course which is ten years old. It is surrounded by protected conservation woodland which adds to the beauty and tranquility of the location. The course was designed by the prominent golf course architect Howard Swann, and features many trademarks, including some magnificent water hazards and USPGA specification greens, whilst the magnificently renovated driving range, which includes mirrors and heated bays, offers possibly the best practice facilities in the area.

Sutton Coldfield Golf Club

Sutton Coldfield Golf Club is one of the most prestigious private members clubs in the Midlands. It was founded in 1889 and two years later moved to the present course in Sutton Park. Sutton Park itself was once part of a royal hunting chase and was given to the people of Sutton Coldfield by Bishop Vesey in the 16th century.

Temple Newsam Golf Club is situated some 3 miles to the east of Leeds, with two eighteen-hole courses providing the largest municipal golfing facility within 100 miles. The club itself is private but pay-and-play golfers are welcome to use the bar and cafe facilities. The 2 courses occupy some 270 acres out of the 932 acre, Temple Newsam House estate.

The Craythorne Golf Club

What The Craythorne provides is a challenging parkland course which is easy walking with a selection of tight. Originally the design was a 9 hole layout which was re-routed in 1983 to become 18 holes. Not a great deal of investment was given to the course in its first 20 years and it wasn’t until the present owner, Tony Wright, took over that major changes were made. Over 5000 trees, 75,000 tonnes of soil, irrigation system, two ponds, 14 new tees and 5 new greens have been introduced in the past 10 years.
