Rawdon Golf Club

Originally established around the mid 1870’s, the club prides itself on it’s friendly and relaxed atmosphere and exceptionally well maintained golf course and tennis courts.The golf course is a unique nine hole parkland course with undulating tree lined fairways and tricky greens. Although measuring only 5842 yards in length, the par of 72 is a good indicator of the challenge the course offers to golfers of all abilities. The club is also home to three all-weather and four grass tennis courts.

The greens are particularly outstanding, all 18 having been re-laid during 1995 and 1996 under the direction of the Sports Turf Research Institute.

The club is to be found just over one mile North East of Rugby town centr on the former B 5414 Clifton Road. It has a long and interesting history having been founded in November 1890. From the yellow markers Rugby Golf Club’s course is 5445 yards long, with a par of 68. It is a comparatively short but challenging course following the meandering Clifton Brook. The course is a compact 67 acres, including seven par threes and three par fives, but it offers a number of challenge for all calibres of golfers.
