Allerthorpe Park Golf Club is a picturesque 18 hole parkland course with many interesting features, including a meandering beck and 18th hole over the lake. Maintained to a high standard, the course extends to 6430 yards off the white tees with a Par and Standard Scratch of 70, making Allerthorpe Park the longest Standard Scratch 70 Golf Course in Yorkshire. The Ladies course extends to 5876 yards with a Par of 75 and a Standard Scratch of 75.

We are situated 2 miles from Gloucester, with the course providing panoramic views of the vale of gloucester, as well as backing onto Highnam woods.We cater for all from beginners, societies and seasoned professionals. With on site facilities including club house, bar, Pro shop, practice area, putting area, golfing lessons and ample parking.The course it self is an 18 hole championship length course (6040 yards), with a number of testing holes. Reload ridge a 562 yard par 5 is aptly named as you tee off from an elevated tee with “out of bounds” running along the entire right hand side of the hole.

In 1939 Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club celebrated it’s Golden Jubilee having been started by a small band of enthusiasts who in the autumn of 1889, “resolved to introduce the Royal and Ancient game to this part of England”.In modern times perhaps the course, measured at just under 6,000 yards, may be termed “short”, but any scratch player who returns a net 68 can, and indeed would, be well pleased with himself. In fact the challenge of this exciting eighteen hole golf course can be appreciated from the fact that the course record still stands at 63, held by the late Tim Smith. There can be few better places to spend an afternoon, or better still, a day, than at Stinchcombe Hill. Especially with a golf club in your hand.

First established in 1928, and extensively redesigned in 1973, Bala Golf Course is a very challenging 10-hole course looking over Bala Lake or Llyn Tegid – at over three miles long the largest natural lake in Wales. Designed by the renowned Llandudno pro, Syd Collins, the course has given nature a free hand in providing the necessary hazards required for a great round of golf. The first hole on a steep upward slope is described as probably the most challenging par 3 in the world where even the greatest of hitters would find it difficult to reach the green in one. Whether you are a Tiger Woods or merely a beginner, you will find the test of skill at Bala intriguing without being too exacting. This mature Course was designed in the late 1880s by Sir Richard Williams Bulkeley and measures a deceptive 5.596 Yards in length and is created on mature heathland. The Par 68 Course threads it’s way cunningly through natural hazards, a river defends three of the holes as it meanders down to the Menai Straits. Baron Hill is a thinking golfers course where every club in the bag will be required to breach its defences and the watch word is very much ‘Course Management’.
