Our Course is situated in a rural location, to the South of Leicester, overlooking some of the most attractive countryside in the county. Golf was first played at Hinckley in 1894 on Burbage Common.Hinckley Golf Course meanders around Burbage Woods, and offers many interesting features – with water coming into play on several holes. The course has established a good reputation around the Midlands as a fine test of golf, and is regularly used for County events. It has also twice been the venue for the Midland PGA Match Play Championship.

This municipal course is owned by Brighton and Hove Council and administered by the Leisure Services Division. The cost of membership is minimal!! It is a fairly short course by modern standards but, being set in a deep valley in the South Downs just north of Brighton, has some delightfully scenic areas as well as several quite difficult holes that make it a true test of golf.

Founded in 1910, the Club was situated on the boundary between Hove and Portslade. However, in 1991, the building of the ‘Brighton by-pass’ meant the Club had to relocate and it is now in the midst of the South Downs, in an area of outstanding natural beauty which may soon be designated a National Park. The 18-hole golf course is laid out over rolling chalk downland and is a challenging par 70. Being in one of the warmest and driest parts of the country, coupled with the chalk terrain, the course is always playable.
