The course is laid out through a mature parkland setting. There are gentle slopes – enough to provide an interesting challenge, but not so steep as to require crampons! There are water features to add to your enjoyment and well designed bunkers to catch the unwary. Keep it straight, stay out of the rough and don’t push too hard and you will have a braw day.

Thorpe Wood golf course was developed as one of the first major leisure projects in the expansion of Peterborough and has been recognised as the leading Pay-as-you-Play course in the country. The course was designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, who also designed the Belfry, and was constructed to a very high standard.It challenges and rewards golfers of all levels and abilities. The gently undulating Par 73 course with a length of 7086 yards from the tiger tees is maintained in superb condition and never closes, whatever the weather.

Set amongst the outstandingly beautiful scenery of Snowdonia National Park, situated between the coastal dunes of Aberdovey beach and the Cambrian Mountains, this 6,454 yard challenge is a hidden gem of a traditional seaside links course. Over the years the Club’s 18 holes, which are steeped in over 100 years of golfing history, have hosted many championships including more recently the British Ladies’ Home Internationals and the regular home of the Welsh Seniors’ Championship.In Aberdovey you will find a warm welcome – and not just from the Club’s Members and staff. The lie of the land, the hills and the sea make Aberdovey maintainable both warmer and drier than places as near as 10 miles away. Because of this, and being built on free-draining sand, we only very rarely suffer from course closures, temporary tees or greens. Our greens in winter can be as good as many courses in late spring – it is a great place to play golf all the year round!

The original 9 holes (now holes 4 to 12) designed by Harry Vardon have been extended to an 18 hole course including 5 parkland holes. Off the white tees the course extends over a challenging 5847 yds (par 69), 5622 (par 69) off the yellows and a 5268 (par 71) off the red, ladies tees.
