Durham City Golf Club

Durham City Golf Club is one of England’s oldest inland clubs having been inaugurated in December 1887.During that time we have had three homes within the ancient city of Durham moving to our third, and hopefully final course, here at Littleburn in November 1974.The course is a delightful meadowland course laid out on the banks of the River Browney just off the A690 some 2 miles SW of Durham City.

Axe Cliff Golf Club

Axecliff Golf Club is one of the oldest courses in Devon having been founded in 1884. It is a splendid course and has the distinction of having been designed by legendary golf course architect and five times open winner in the early 1900s, Scotland’s James Braid.The Fifer is responsible for the layout of many of the top courses in the country, and this one exhibits all the usual hallmarks of one of his designs.The course itself is an 18 hole, Par 70, 5969 yards testing cliff top golf course, which offers a challenge to all categories of golfers combined with breathtaking views over the cliffs of Lyme Bay and inland views over the countryside. The course is excellent for winter packages as it is free draining and there are never any trolley bans in place.

Broadstone Golf Club

The original course – known as the Dorset Golf Club – was laid out by Tom Dunn and was played to the east of the now disused Somerset and Dorset railway line and was part heathland and part parkland. In 1914, H S Colt was commissioned to redesign the course. Holes 6, 7 and 8 were incorporated in existing land and holes 10 to 16 were laid out to the west of the railway line, thus changing the full 18 holes to heathland. The course has remained largely unaltered to this day, apart from modifying the 9th hole from a par 4 to a par 5.

Canford Magna Golf Club

A challenging 6,496 yard course of undulating grassland featuring a good combination of both par 3 and par 5 holes. The course was designed by the International Architect Howard Swan, which is evident in the play of this popular 18 hole configuration. Of particular note is its natural habitat being graced with the presence of many species of birds and wildfowl.
