Upminster Golf Club
Even without its historical Club House, the Club would have many excuses for self-congratulation. It is an 18 hole, picturesque parkland course on high ground sloping down to the small River Ingrebourne that meanders its way through the lower part of the course on its way to join the Thames. In some areas of the course, it is hard to imagine that you are still in suburban London and yet you can stand on the 17th green and see Canary Wharf reaching for the sky. Its accessibility is another good point. The Club is easy to get at being situated within 2 – 3 miles of the M25 or Gallows Corner (the junction of the A12 – the Colchester road and the A127 – the Southend road).
