Alder Root was first opened May 1993. It is a challenging and demanding 10 Hole course that pushes any golfer, of any ability, sex, or age! Here at Alder Root, we have three packages for you to choose from. Societies can be from a minimum of 10 people to a maximum of 50 people.

Orton Meadows Golf Club

Orton Meadows Golf Course was opened initially as a 12 hole course laid out on land available within Ferry Meadows Country Park.The course was subsequently extended to a full 18 holes with the additional holes being built on land reclaimed during gravel extraction.The course – a par 67 of 5613 yards designed by Dennis and Roger Fitton – is extremely picturesque, surrounded by trees and having much wildlife including many varieties of birds and waterfowl.As well as interesting scenery Orton Meadows provides its own challenges and rewards with water featuring on no less than 10 holes. The third is a long – some say very long – par 5.

Dolgellau Golf Club

We want to maintain a long tradition of friendliness and hospitality without too much formality. Our par 66, 9 hole course starts with three well designed holes in an atmosphere of peaceful tranquillity. It then offers six more against a background of spectacular, panoramic views of Cader Idris and the Mawddach estuary. It is hilly but somehow doesn’t feel like it. The serene beauty and grandeur of the varied landscape in this part of Mid-Wales is breathtaking.
